Village Diner is family owned and operated by Jim and Mary Ann Younes. We opened February 7, 2009, and are located on the corner of Route 315 and Route 12 in Waterville, NY.
The 1st floor of the building underwent extensive renovation and preparation to open as the kind of diner that we had in mind. It took a lot of hard work & long hours, with family and friends pitching in to help us meet our opening date. The kitchen was stripped and re-done, a brand new counter was installed in the dining area that seats 10, along with 8 tables, we can accommodate up to 42 people.
In the hustle and bustle of today’s world where most times you are a number, we find that it’s nice to walk into an establishment and be greeted by your first name. Here at the diner we do, and for the patrons know as our “regulars”, they’re what we consider our extended family.
We arrive early in the morning to prep for the day, and when it’s closing time you just don’t lock the door & walk away, its cleanup time which usually takes a couple hours each day. As with most things we do, we take a great amount of pride in our little diner, and as most people will tell you it shows.
Village Diner offers a full breakfast and lunch menu. Our method of portions is simple. We believe in giving you the quality and quantity that we expect when we go out to eat.
Don’t have time for breakfast? Do you want a breakfast sandwich to take with you? No problem, stop in or call ahead and your order will be ready when you get there. From Breakfast Sandwiches to our excellent french toast, we’ve got it covered. We also have danish, donuts, and homemade muffins to go with our delicious coffee.
Do you want the best burger around? Ours are made fresh daily. Try the Mayor’s Burger with an order of our golden fries. You won’t be disappointed.
We’re what most would consider a family dining establishment. We have a full catering menu available. We also book private parties for that special occasion. Daily breakfast and lunch specials will be posted on the blog each morning. Also any other occasions will be posted, like the Friday night cook-outs that we will hold monthly during the summer.
Whether you come in for breakfast or lunch, book a party, or have an event catered, you won’t be disappointed in the quality or quantity of food.
